Celebrate Workers. They Deserve It! 

Wrapping up projects. Completing development activities. Closing the books. Preparing for the holidays. Planning for 2024. Right now, everyone’s got their head down, trying to meet deadlines and complete the year’s work. With the yearend in sight, don’t lose sight of all those who’ve made your 2023 a success. Celebrate your workers any way you can! Here are some easy communications approaches to do it. Of course, RNB is here to help!

Whether your business has had a great, good, or challenging year, remember – your employees have been giving it their all. While it’s always a good idea to celebrate workers all year long, now is an especially fine time to stop and say thank you for everything they’ve done for your organization. A little appreciation goes a long way.

Consider these activities:

  • Ask executives to record a short Thank You video and highlight one success for their department. Even in a difficult year, there are wins. Success doesn’t have to be about the financials. Why not celebrate effort, teamwork, a chance taken?

  • If executives are hard to get, it’s ok. Produce a short, graphics-driven animated video highlighting the year. Include results for all departments. Fun? Serious? Grand? Simple? Strike a tone that’s right for your organization.

  • Release weekly e-postcards between now and the end of the year that honor employees for their efforts. Simple graphics, big thanks. Everyone shares in the wins.

  • Spotlight the year’s highlights on your internal portal or chat channel. Gather up photos from the year, if you have some, or tell your story through graphics. Display them on a “digital wall.”

  • Send a CEO or leader message to everyone. Video, email, voicemail, virtual gathering. Remember to acknowledge the support of your team’s loved ones; they play a role in your success too.

  • Say a personal thank you for 2023 achievements to each worker with whom you interact. Such a small gesture means a lot to people.

  • Encourage holiday downtime. Everyone deserves a little break to recharge without checking email, even if it’s only a long holiday weekend. That’s something to celebrate!

There’s a myriad of ways to pay tribute to your team. Don’t let 2023 end without doing something. Anything!
